bioMérieux announces a new strategic research partnership with Vall d'Hebron, one of Spain's largest and most prestigious healthcare institutions. This collaboration aims to advance research and development in the areas of infectious diseases, data surveillance, and laboratory automation.

bioMérieux, Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and USF Health hosted the inaugural U.S. AMR Summit Nov. 12-13 to address the escalating global threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Launched last July, starting with Africa and Middle East, the E-Resale platform allows to purchase and sell second-hand bioMérieux instruments for clinical applications. This is an innovative offer in the field of circular economy and a first on the in vitro diagnostics market.

On November 14th, 2024, bioMérieux officially launched its first Data & IT Centre of Reference partnership with St James's Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. This landmark collaboration has been celebrated with an event held at the Davis Coakley Lecture Theatre, St James's Hospital.

Globally, it was estimated that approximately 4.95 million people died from Antimicrobial Resistance-related causes in 20191. And yet, one in three adults doesn’t understand what this term means2. Faced with this alarming situation, an awareness-raising campaign encourages the general public to change their behaviour with regard to the use of antibiotics. Indeed, each person, at their own level, has a role to play to preserve their effectiveness.
